Irish Autism Action (IAA)
The Seven Day in a Row Challenge of Croagh Patrick has been
supported by Irish Autism Action (IAA) from the very beginning and are proud to be part
of this years even as well. Irish Autism Action was first formed by a group of parents
who took a public stance in relation to the needs and rights of their children. Irish
Autism Action is an umbrella body currently representing parent groups across, support
groups and schools for those on the autistic spectrum across Ireland. The main function
of the IAA is advocacy on the national stage and we have been successful in raising
issues at ministerial levels of government since our inception. For more information

Mayo Mountain Rescue
Mayo Mountain Rescue Team is a Voluntary Organisation which
provides 24/7 emergency servies. It is comprised of hillwalkers and mountaineers from
all over Mayo and even further afield. The team responds to emergency callouts
predominantly on Croagh Patrick with up to 80% of all annual callouts being focused on
the pilgrimage mountain as well as out main annual focus of Reek Sunday where they
coordinate the activities of all MR Teams attending for the pilgrimage of up to 20,000

Order of Malta
Order of Malta Ireland coordinates and manages a range of community services
including: Day care centres, lunch & supper clubs. and it also provides services to
people with disabilities. The Order of Malta Ambulance Corps is a major provider of
first aid training, ambulance transport and community care services in most of the
major cities and towns throughout the island of Ireland. For more information please

The Red Cross
The Irish Red Cross works both at home in Ireland and
in countries overseas which have been damaged by wars or natural disasters. The Irish
Red Cross is part of the largest global network of voluntary humanitarian action in the
world - the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement which has a national
organisation in nearly every country in the world - some 185 Red Cross or Red Crescent

Civil Defence
Civil Defence is an organisation comprising of
approximately 6000 members who voluntarily make themselves available in their spare
time. Much of this time is devoted to attending classes to train for situations which
